Ingredients:
5 slices diced bacon
1 pound cabbage chopped
2 carrots sliced
1 chopped onion
2 potatoes cut into small pieces
1 celery stalk sliced
1-2 cups beef,pork or kielbasi cubes
1 bay leaf
1 tablespoon vinegar
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons butter
Sugar, salt and pepper to taste
8 cups of water

Directions:
Fry bacon until golden, but not crisp in a 3 quart saucepan. Add
vegetables, meat,spices and water. Simmer 30-45 minutes until vegetables are
tender.Blend flour into butter in a small cup. Stir slowly into soup until
thickened. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve with dollop of sour cream.
